Cha Eun-woo to Enlist in Army Military Band on July 28, Fans Encouraged to Show Support

Seoul, May 29, 2025 – Singer and actor Cha Eun-woo (real name: Lee Dong-min, 28) will enlist in the Republic of Korea Army Military Band as an active-duty soldier on July 28. His agency, Fantagio, announced the news on May 29 via the official fan café, stating, “Cha Eun-woo has received final confirmation of acceptance into the Army Military Band from the Military Manpower Administration.”

Cha Eun-woo participated in the Army Military Band recruitment process from late March to early April and attended an interview on May 9 at the Ministry of National Defense Military Band headquarters in Seoul’s National Cemetery. His name appeared on the list of successful candidates published on the Military Manpower Administration’s website on May 29. He is set to enter a training center on July 28 for five weeks of basic military training before serving approximately 18 months in the military band. His expected discharge date is around January 2027.
Fantagio stated, “To prevent safety concerns due to crowding, the enlistment location and time will remain private, and no special events will be held.” The agency added, “We kindly ask for your warm encouragement and support for Cha Eun-woo as he faithfully fulfills his military duties and returns in good health.”
